How to configure required Verification checks for Government ID Verification

The ability to configure required Verification checks is available on paid plans. If you're on the free plan and want to upgrade, reach out to sales@withpersona.com.

If your Verification check configurations are fully managed by your Persona team, you will not be able to edit them yourself. Please reach out to your customer success manager if you'd like to make changes.

Overview

This guide describes one step in a larger process. Please see Choose and configure Verification checks for Government ID Verification to understand other required steps for configuring Government ID Verification.

Steps

Once you have decided which Verification checks you want to require, you can configure them in the Persona Dashboard. There are three main steps:

  1. Open Government ID configurations.
  2. Require or un-require a Verification check.
  3. Save your changes.

Step 1: Open Government ID configurations

  1. In the Persona Dashboard, navigate to Inquiries > Template. Select a template that uses Government ID Verification.
  2. In the upper corner of the Flow Editor, click Configure.
  3. Select Verifications > Government ID in the sidebar.

Step 2: Require or un-require a Verification check

Within the Government ID configurations, find the section named Verification checks.

To require a check

  1. Find the check in the list of Checks.
  2. If the row is grayed out: click "+" in the country's row to enable the check.
  3. Select the Required checkbox in the row.

To un-require a check

  1. Find the check in the list of Checks.
  2. Unselect the Required checkbox in the row.

Step 3: Save your changes

In the upper corner of the Flow Editor, click Save.
