Why did the inquiry pass the verification process even though it failed a few verification checks?
In order for an inquiry to pass the verification process, it needs to satisfy all the ‘Required’ verification checks. This means an inquiry can fail a verification check that isn’t marked as required and still pass the verification process. With Persona, depending on your plan, you’ll have the ability to configure checks to be required or not required. To understand what checks are required to pass the verification process, navigate into an inquiry, select the ‘Verification’ tab, and scroll down to the ‘Checks’ section. There, you’ll see all the checks that are required marked with ‘Yes’ and checks that aren’t required marked with ‘No.’
Are real verifications performed in my sandbox environment?
No, real verifications aren’t performed within your sandbox environment. The sandbox environment is used to test your end-user flow and ensure Persona is implemented properly within your app without incurring charges.
Can Persona send us the personally identifiable information (PII) provided by individuals (e.g. name, DOB, address)?
Yes, in the Development / API section of the Dashboard under "Enabled API attributes," you can specify the PII you'd like to retrieve via the API. By default, we do not expose the attributes directly provided by individuals (e.g. name, birthdate, address) via API for data privacy reasons.
When does a link to an inquiry that was created in advance expire?
The inquiry link will expire 24 hours after the user clicks on in and initiates the verification process.
What can I do if a link (or the inquiry) has expired and I want to allow the user to continue in the same inquiry where they left off?
If the link has expired (resulting in an expired inquiry) and you want to allow the user to continue where they left off rather than starting a new inquiry, you can do this by resuming the inquiry. To allow the user to resume, find the inquiry in the Persona Dashboard. At the top right-hand side of the inquiry details page for any expired inquiry, you'll see a Resume button. This will generate a unique link that you can send to that individual to allow them to resume their inquiry and complete the verification from where they left off. This one-time link is active for 24 hours after it is generated, and once the individual opens the link they have 15 minutes to complete the inquiry.
